A discreet sense of luxury, expressed through natural materials, simplicity, and thoughtful details, creates an elegant and authentic stay.
Maison Saint-Aignan is, above all, a story of passion and encounters. Behind this guest house is Sophie, a passionate cook and a natural host, who imagined a warm and welcoming place where guests immediately feel at home.
Fond of beautiful homes and objects with a story to tell, Sophie patiently brought this former notary office back to life. Fully renovated, the house is located in the heart of the medieval town of Saint-Aignan, on Place de la Paix. Each room has been thoughtfully designed and decorated with treasures Sophie discovered in local markets and antique fairs. Antique furniture, natural materials, and carefully chosen details create a soft and authentic atmosphere.
Her idea was simple: to offer a comfortable and charming place to stay, where travelers can relax after a day exploring the Beauval Zoo, the Loire Valley castles, or the landscapes of the Cher Valley.
A passionate cook, Sophie also loves sharing the flavors of local produce and the art of hospitality. Here, the welcome is genuine, the advice is personal, and every stay is designed so guests can fully enjoy the region.

Our host, Sophie Gelin
Sophie, born in Lyon, France, grew up with a curiosity for the world and a love for beautiful homes. She spent twenty years in Rabat, Morocco, where she discovered the richness of different cultures and the art of warm hospitality. After some time in Paris, where she refined her taste for cooking and interior design, Sophie settled in Saint-Aignan in 2021, driven by the desire to create a unique place of hospitality combining comfort, charm, and authenticity.
